Nursing Jobs in Phillippines
Right after graduating from a Nursing school, it is no wonder why most nurses in the Philippines are already eager to work in the country…indeed, most have this commitment to really serve their fellowmen, while the others…are also eager to work in the country because they are mandated to serve at least a certain period before they are allowed to apply for a nursing job abroad. This reality of nurses exodus from the Philippines is one of the sad stories one can hear. Nurses, teachers, doctors, engineers, name the profession and for sure you will come up with a troubling list of highly-skilled professionals from the Philippines who are eager to leave the country. If there are some who decide to stay…thank God they did decide to stay. In terms of health care providers, the Philippines is one of the countries who is lagged behind when it comes to a number of nurses. In most hospitals, one nurse has to attend to 50 patients- this may be true in private hospitals…what more should you expect when we talk about public hospitals.
Nursing profession in the Philippines may not be as impressive compared to other developing countries like in the US, Canada or Australia. It is disturbing that yearly there seems to be an unsolved shortage of nurses in the country. However, no one can blame those who decide to leave because the dilemma is based on statistics there is only one nurse to cater to 16,273 Filipinos, and in the average an urban nurse approximately earns PhP12,0000 monthly while a nurse who works in the rural areas earns about PhP8,000 monthly.
