It is truly a matter of choice whether working as a nurse is a commitment or a spree of forever-hunting for material satisfaction. Compared to other countries offer fro a nursing job position, in the context of Germany, it may be a little different. One may encounter the difference in a German hospital in terms of the number of nurses available attending to the needs of the many patients confined or being cared for. More so, in Germany, one is given the mandated option to choose doing either a military national service or civil service, so people would opt to go for civil service and most end up as nurses.

In Germany, there can be many types of basic nurses. The Nursing Act in Germany encompasses three titles, namely the general female/ male nurse, the pediatric female/ male nurse, and the assistant female/ male nurse. These types of nurses are in the basic level and are only amongst the many types of nurses in the country. The nurses who intend to have any of these titles need to get a license. However, there is only one particular profession that assists the doctors or physicians in practice, they are the practice nurse, who unfortunately are becoming little by little unknown in terms of their involvement in patients’ care in the country.
